Tom Lechner<p>For Saint Patrick's day, and <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/mosstodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>mosstodon</span></a> Monday, some greenery on the rocks from Beacon Rock, and more greenery on Wind Mountain. I recently read Gathering Moss by Robin Wall Kimmerer, author of Braiding Sweetgrass, which was really interesting. I had no idea that moss reproduced with sperm, one of the first organisms on earth to do so! Also had no idea how dependent on very specific local conditions each moss is.</p>

Three little pixels together. I like their elegance, these long and tall mushrooms are simple but that only makes them better.<br>

Close-ups are nice. I might take more of those. Generally, I take a few pictures that show the whole piece, choose my favorite, and post that one only. But it's probably better to post most of them and include different viewpoints too - close-ups, in a living room setting, etc. It might make the artwork more interesting to look at, especially for those who don’t have it in front of them. At least, I know I prefer seeing multiple images when I'm looking at art online.<br>
