Art can be a wonderful catalyst for emotions. I remember my little thriller box that I invented after I found the background image (more in the alt text). Given the current political situation, I immediately realise who my fictitious muffin-baking princess would fill into cans and send to Mars without return ticket.

1/2 Day23 #ArtAdventCalendar For me, #art starts in #nature, the greatest artist ever. With visual art, I can only use my #senses, observe, feel, recognise or create analogies and connections. It starts with an inspiring coincidence: 2 stones from a resting place with the dog. Leaves. The objects begin to speak. Stone structures and leaf patterns tell stories.

Finally the penny has dropped! I have an exhibition showcase at a rather conservative #embroidery festival. My #BiodiversityShrines are provocative in a region with farmers who spray pesticides twice when the soil is broken (their logic) and far too many people vote for Le Pen. My idea: I build them up as #archaeological #museum exhibits from the #future! #Subversive. As mentioned in my intro, I've acquired too much material for my #ScannedCollages. I'm branching out with #AlteredBook #AsemblageArt. #Collage #CollageArt #Assemblage #Books #AlteredBookArt My first attempt at this goal has begun, and is definitely #WIP.
To begin with, I dove in head first, doing it my way (without tutorial instructions) - so it is definitely wrong & messy. The rough, messy look actually works (what else am I going to say?) with my #Dadaist style & #Asemic content. So far, it does not have that polished artistic antique Victoriana quality that seem to be typical of many of the examples I found.
I've incorporated #AsemicWriting, #AsemicPoetry, #DadaistPoetry #ErasurePoetry, #ProsePoetry & #CollagePoetry. I have kept the #Book's original #BlackandWhite #Illustrations.

#Intro #Introduction Well, here I am posting about #BookishThings. I joined a #Mastodon instance back in April of last year, when the threat of Muskification of Bird began looming on the horizon. By January of this year, I began thinking about the overabundance of material-topics I had for potential posting.
Three projects also came to mind. 1) A #TarotCard layout based on #Narrative #PlotLine. I've explored this idea using the #CelticCrossLayout, and will try to take it a bit further.
