I wanted to spruce up the back side of my Fairphone 5. I used a piece of good quality paper made for oil and acrylic paint and cut it to size, including space for the cameras. Then I painted this with some acrylic paints. The good thing is, if I wish later to change the painting I just need to swap out the paper.

This triptych was a labor of love for me, it took a few months of stopping and restarting. It’s hard to say where this came from, it’s a bit of a mixture of Japanese and coastal influences, kintsugi and uzumaki were both names for this set at one point. There’s definitely a flow going on though and movement was definitely in my mind the whole time.

I’ve been struggling with names for this one, nothing quite seems to fit I have prints and cards of this one so I feel like I need to lock down a name so if you have any suggestions I’m open

I posted this painting as an unfinished work a few weeks ago, happy to be showing the final product ^_^ maybe it’s time for me to paint something with more vibrant and positive colours??
