Thirty minutes earlier, we were plying the waters of Geirangerfjord. It's been one #zen moment after another.
It's blue skies with enough scattered clouds to keep the reflections at bay. Geirangerfjord is a UNESCO WH Site & one of the most spectacular fjords in Norway. #WaterWednesday #WaterfallWednesday

Anyone has advice on how to deal with "product" demanding a very #waterfall delivery plan (3 months +) from a #Scrum team?
Here is one of the picturesque treats I experienced on my way up to the summit of the mountain yesterday. A gorgeous section of frozen #waterfalls. Most of the 80 feet (24m) tall #waterfall was covered with snow, but this section was not covered, exposing its beauty. #WaterfallWednesday #mountains #hiking
As yesterday's #mosstodon #waterfall post (https://mastodon.social/@funkylab/114031459415370614) seems to have caused joy, let's have one with but a bit of #lichensubscribe going on in the foreground (sadly, out of focus):
Yellowstone River's Lower Falls and the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone that the river eroded out of the soft stone from Lava flows that were later cooked soft by geyser activity (or so the sign says); if you ask me, for something that only happened within the last ~1.8e4 years, that's a deeeep canyon.
This innocent looking trail I hiked last week leads to a steep class-II descent down the wall of a gorge. Reward-- a beautiful frozen #waterfall! Wearing only microspikes and having (intentionally) left my crampons behind, I chose to stop just before the steep slippery section-- still got a decent view of the falls! #FootpathFriday #Vermont #mountains
Here is another interesting small feature of the tall frozen #waterfall (85'; 26m) shown at the beginning of this thread. I carefully walked up the partially frozen stream to capture this #closeup at the base of the waterfall. Icicles with an inverted shape (I believe called "ice bells") hang inside an #ice cave and water seen flowing below. #Vermont #mountains #winter
Sometimes I find it difficult to capture the full beauty of a large #waterfall in a single image, such as the 85 feet tall (26m) frozen waterfall at the beginning of this thread. Macros of smaller sections of an object can also be beautiful. Here is a macro from that tall frozen waterfall shown earlier. Enjoy! #WaterfallWednesday #Vermont #mountains
I’m up in the Green #Mountains, #Vermont, right now, although everything is quite white with all of the snow! In the spirit of #WaterfallWednesday, I took a short hike to this gorgeous frozen #waterfall. 85 feet (26m) tall. So beautiful! #hiking #winter #snow #ice
Oh it's #WaterfallWednesday right? I usually miss those topic-hashtag days. But I want to re'share this one with you.
That day I went there ONLY to take phtoos of this waterfall. Later when I checked my GPS Track I noticed that I spent about 3h there!!! And I thought "let's go there, walk around a bit, take some #photos and go back home" ...
A bit context and more photos are here: https://www.franzgraf.de/blog/2024/a-dedicated-day-for-a-waterfall/

The trouble with ambitious #photography projects is they can become a bit like a curse. This is an image I’ve tried to capture 4 times across 3 years, and this – the second version – is still the best.
#astrophotography in some of the darkest skies on earth under #tasmania ‘s imposing Russell Falls in heavy flow was a hard thing to pull off. The window this shot works is only about an hour a night for a few weeks a year, and it’s rarely not cloudy.
Happy #WaterfallWednesday! I hiked along a snowy stream to this gorgeous #waterfall last winter in the White #Mountains, #NewHampshire. It had just snowed making for a very picturesque scene. Still early enough in the winter for all of the water to still be flowing. #waterfalls #hiking #backpacking
